Washingtonville Little League provides every child, enrolled with our organization, the opportunity to learn how to be a part of a team and play the games of T-ball, Baseball and Softball. We strive to help the children playing in our program to grow physically, emotionally and socially.

In a typical year, we’d be putting the final touches on our Opening Day festivities and readying the fields for play. Unfortunately, 2020 is far from typical.
We announced earlier this month that, out of an abundance of caution, all Little League activities would be temporarily suspended until no earlier than April 6.
With that date quickly approaching, we wanted to provide everyone with an update. Little League International and District 19 recently implemented a temporary suspension/delay of all league activities until no earlier than May 11. While we understand that this extension is disappointing for our players, coaches and parents, we know it is the right and responsible approach in these uncertain times.
As you all know, stay-at-home orders are in place in our community to flatten the curve and help combat this awful virus. We ask that you adhere to these recommendations and stay home if possible.
We will continue to update you as we learn more from Little League International. They’ve created a page on their website to answer all Coronavirus FAQs, so please take the time to read through it. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at email@example.com.
In the meantime, we encourage you to (responsibly) stay active. Little League International has a great online resource for tips, drills and activities that can be done in the friendly confines of your own backyard. You can view them here.
We also encourage you to continue to support our loyal sponsors in these trying times. If you can, buy a meal from a local restaurant or make a purchase from a small business in our community. They’ve always supported our league and players – it’s now time for us to return the favor.
We hope that everyone in our Little League family stays healthy. Lastly, we give thanks to our brave first responders, healthcare professionals and frontline workers for their service.
President, Washingtonville Little League
