Washingtonville Little League provides every child, enrolled with our organization, the opportunity to learn how to be a part of a team and play the games of T-ball, Baseball and Softball. We strive to help the children playing in our program to grow physically, emotionally and socially.

On behalf of the Washingtonville Little League board of directors, I want to thank you for your patience and understanding as we’ve navigated this uncharted territory since mid-March.
We had a very strong response rate to our call to action late last month. We have many families that signed the #PlayBallPledge, while others opted out for the 2020 season. We respect your individual decisions and appreciate that these decisions were not easy.
Our initial reopening plan had our players starting practice this week. As we stated in past correspondence, we continue to follow the guidelines set forth by state and local officials and cautioned that our plan was subject to change. Unfortunately, we have to pause those plans.
Part of the process to allow us back on the diamond was to apply for field permits. Our permit application was kicked back to us because we were asked to complete additional paperwork related to new protocols required by NYS. Ultimately, our plan and protocols need to be approved by the New York State Department of Health before we are issued a field permit.
Since we have to pause our plan, we’ve made the decision to play Fall Ball rather than take part in the hybrid season. Due to this change of plan, we will be lowering everyone’s registration fee to $100 for the season. For all divisions above T-Ball, this means that you will get a credit for next season in the amount of $75.
If you want to change your decision based on this new approach, please contact Patty Tual directly at firstname.lastname@example.org to let her know. If we don’t hear from you, the decision you made based on the form you completed will stand. We’ll use this information to build our rosters for the upcoming season.
With this delay and preparations needed for the prospect of additional safety protocols, our new timeline is the following:
