Washingtonville Little League provides every child, enrolled with our organization, the opportunity to learn how to be a part of a team and play the games of T-ball, Baseball and Softball. We strive to help the children playing in our program to grow physically, emotionally and socially.
TOWN OF WALKILL – Washingtonville Little League’s Dominic Fiorini broke for home and scored the walk-off run in a convincing 11-1 victory over Warwick in the 2021 District 19 Harvest Cup championship game. His Wizards’ teammates poured out of the dugout to celebrate the win that completed an undefeated Fall Ball season.
Landon Begley pitched a gem of a game, recording 12 strikeouts and surrendering only 3 hits and one run in his five innings on the hill. Landon Fish, Carson Arduino, Dominic Fiorini and Alex Peralta collected hits for the Wizards in support of their 11 runs.
The 11-player squad – made up of eight, nine and ten-year-olds – reeled off four playoff wins in a row to secure the championship hardware in the Minors division of the annual fall baseball tournament. The team earned a reputation for excellent pitching, savvy baserunning, strong defense and clutch hits this fall season.
Winning the Harvest Cup was especially sweet after the beginning of the season was disrupted when Hurricane Ida flooded Mays Field, home of the Washingtonville Little League baseball program.
